RL-R17 and LogUp are intended to measure and record vibration impact and temperature into the device's non-volatile memory during transportation of various loads, with subsequent reading, analyzing, and documenting the results on your PC.

LogUp is a software complex with a user-friendly interface that has all the necessary tools for device configuration, as well as graphic and digital representation of the recorded data.

Specifications

Continuous Recording Mode

In this mode, RL-R17 records all acceleration and temperature data. This offers the most detailed picture for subsequent analysis. The time of the recording is only limited by the capacity of the internal memory of RL-R17.

Available graph types
  • Acceleration vs. time
  • Acceleration increment rate vs. time
  • Velocity vs. time
  • Displacement vs. time
  • Acceleration vs. time without offset nulling
  • Acceleration vs. time with offset nulling
  • Frequency of maximum harmonica vs. time
  • Maximum value vs. time
  • RMS vs. time
  • Offset vs. time
  • Temperature vs. time

Shock recording Mode

In this mode, the device will only record shock events that exceed a shock start level set by the user. The recording ends when the acceleration gets lower than the shock end level.

Here, the user can define time-related parameters such as maximum capture time, indent, and the interval between recordings, as well as the shock level for each individual axis.

Available graph types
  • Acceleration vs. time
  • Temperature vs. time
  • Plot of events – a histogram displaying the maximum of shock vs. time
  • Graph of shock distributions – the graph shows the number of shocks against each amplitude range: 100 - 80 %, 80 - 60 %, 60 - 40 %, 40 - 20 %, 20 - 0 %
  • Maximum shock
  • Minimum shock

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How to Copy Graphs to Text Files?

To copy a graph to a text file (for instance, to a measurement report): right-click on the graph, calling the context menu; select "Copy" with a left-click and then paste the copied graph to the required position in the text file.

The graph can be copied in the text file by first saving it into a bmp-file, and then with standard Windows tools.

How to Connect RL-R17 to PC?

Take the following steps to connect the recorder to PC trough USB-interface:

  1. Start LogUp
  2. Connect the recorder to PC with the cable from the delivery package, while the recorder is off.
  3. Switch the device on by pressing “START/STOP” button. After the device is connected to PC through USB-interface, it starts getting power supply from the PC, and not from the battery.

When the computer detects the recorder connected to it, a pop-up message will be shown in the lower right-hand corner of the screen, next to the clock panel.
